Thornæs Danish Whisky: Balkan Peat - Double Cask

Matured for two years in small Bulgarian oak casks and then transferred to 200-liter Bourbon casks. Balkan Peat is the “big brother” to our 3rd Release that won gold for Best Danish Small Batch Whisky at the World Whisky Awards, 2025.

Chestnut – Double Cask is lightly peated with floral and honey-like notes. The smoke is gently “smoldering” and evolves in the finish.

• Nose: Dried fruit, honey and a hint of peat
• Taste: Vanilla, peach, floral honey and sweet spices
• Finish: More floral notes and lingering peat
