Thornæs Danish Whisky - Sonoma Peat is a smoked single malt whisky that has been matured in Bourbon 'quarter casks' from Sonoma, California, USA.

In the world of Bourbon whisky quarter casks refer to barrels of 50-55 liters in size, and Sonoma Peat has been aged for over four years in these small casks. This has created a smoky whisky with classic notes of vanilla, caramel, and tropical fruit, but also a whisky that is intense in flavor with dark, spicy undertones.

Just beneath the surface, the peat smoke rises through the layers, leaving faint smoldering smokiness in the aftertaste.
